PUC Postpones Vote on Electricity Purchases

The state Public Utilities Commission postponed until March 6 a vote on whether businesses in the state can continue to buy electricity from private providers other than their traditional utilities, saying that the commissioners needed more time to study public comments. The PUC is debating whether to end the program as of July 1 or Sept. 20.
