Citing judging misconduct, IOC President Jacques Rogge accepts the skating union’s proposal and announces that Sale and Pelletier will receive gold medals. Berezhnaya and Sikharulidze will retain theirs. It is the fourth time the IOC has awarded a second gold medal.
