Six Southland Girls Earn National Soccer Honors

Six girls’ soccer players from Orange and Los Angeles counties have been chosen to Parade magazine’s 35-member High School All-America team.

Players selected to the team were Amy Burlingham, a forward from Newport Harbor High, UCLA-bound midfielder Stacy Lindstrom of Aliso Niguel, Santa Margarita midfielder Shannon Foley, UCLA-bound Jill Oakes of North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, Stanford-bound Jenny Farenbaugh of Woodland Hills Louisville and Pasadena Poly senior Hayley Hunt.
