A man has confessed to involvement in the execution-style roadside killings of four international journalists in November, an Afghan official said.
The man, who was not identified, was still being questioned, said Faraidoon, an aide to Interior Minister Younis Qanooni, in Kabul.
The man agreed to lead authorities to the site of the killings and show them some of the victims’ belongings, Faraidoon said.
It was believed that the man could identify others involved in the attack.
The journalists were killed Nov. 19 on a notoriously dangerous stretch of road between Jalalabad and the capital, Kabul.
