Abortion Issue

Re George Skelton’s Jan. 31 column: I hope Gov. Gray Davis continues to bring Richard Riordan’s skipping here, skipping there position on abortion to light. I’m losing patience with the Republicans, although the Democratic platform isn’t even an option. The “extinction” of the Republican “species” is still more honorable than two indistinguishable parties spouting lies and caving in to the selfishness of our times that covers itself in the thin veneer of a woman’s choice.

God save us from the ideology that would assist every downtrodden and mistreated group--except for those that are politically or personally inexpedient.
