B&B; does not reflect Huahine
Susan Spano’s report of her experience (“Remembering Some Close Shaves on the Travel-Writing Road,†Her World, Nov. 24) on the island of Huahine was unfortunate and one that does not accurately reflect what the island has to offer most tourists. In Tahiti, pensions -- small, family-owned bed-and-breakfast accommodations -- vary widely in quality and price. We strongly recommend that travelers who wish to stay in a pension do their research first. Huahine -- while not as well known as Bora-Bora, Tahiti or Moorea -- has several high-quality hotels.
