Apples and oranges came to mind as I read your article “Too Volatile a Mix to Last?†(Dec. 1) about Audioslave.
You gushed about Chris Cornell as “ ... someone who could match Robert Plant’s wail but brought to his music an intelligence and introspection rarely evident in Led Zeppelin.â€
I am a Soundgarden fan. But I hope that the quote was not intended as a cheap shot at Led Zeppelin/Robert Plant. I think Led Zeppelin has contributed its share of influence to music/musicians, no?
