Nov. Traffic Rises 7% From a Year Earlier

The number of passengers on U.S. airlines rose 7% last month from a year earlier, when there was a steep falloff after the terrorist attacks.
The November traffic for the 10 largest U.S. airlines was 15% below that for the same month in 2000, before the travel slump began.
The number of miles flown by paying passengers increased after airlines boosted capacity by 5.6% from 2001. International traffic rose 21%. Seat and flight capacity in November was 11% less than in the same month in 2000.
