TONIGHT / MEN
Pepperdine (0-2) at Long Beach State (1-1), 7 p.m. KPLS-AM (830) -- These are not the easiest times for either team. Pepperdine’s 6-foot-10 junior center, Will Kimble, may not play again after being diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, an excessive thickness of the heart muscle. The Waves are also without injured 6-9 forward Glen McGowan. Pepperdine is in the midst of a four-game swing against Big West Conference opponents. Long Beach plays five games in the next 12 days.
Morris Brown (1-2) at Fullerton (0-2), 7 p.m., KWRM-AM (1370) -- It’s early, but this could be a defining week for Fullerton, which also plays host to Pepperdine on Wednesday and visits Loyola Marymount on Saturday. Since moving up to Division I last season, Morris Brown is 5-27.
