1 Man Killed, 1 Wounded in Boyle Heights Gunfire

One man died and another was wounded in a Boyle Heights shooting, police said.
The two men were approached by an unknown number of assailants who fired several shots at 11:49 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of North Soto Street, said Los Angeles Police Officer Lucy Diaz.
The victims were taken to a hospital, where one man died, Diaz said. “We don’t have any witnesses at this point,†she said.
The dead man’s name was not released because his relatives had not yet been notified.
