Auditions Scheduled for Youth Orchestras

Auditions will be held this weekend for the Conejo Valley youth orchestras.
Appointments are now being taken for the tryouts, scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in Room K-1 at Cal Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.
The orchestras’ regular rehearsals are Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 3.
Conejo Valley Youth Strings rehearses from 3:30 to 5 p.m., the Preparatory Youth Orchestra (intermediate players) gathers from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. and the advanced Youth Orchestra meets from 7:15 to 9 p.m.
Tuition is $150 per semester. All instruments are welcome and musicians from age 6 to 21 are invited to audition.
