Driver Dies After Car Hits Pickup Truck

A man suspected of drunk driving was killed Saturday afternoon when his car crossed a median in Stanton and struck an oncoming pickup truck, police said.
The man, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center.
The collision occurred at 5:37 p.m. as the man drove south on Dale Avenue and lost control at the intersection with Lola Avenue, crossing into oncoming traffic, said Lt. Greg Russell of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The other motorists were not badly hurt, Russell said.
