A 37-year-old man died during a vehicle accident in south Oxnard on Sunday after suffering a possible heart attack, police said.
Jerome Taijeron of Oxnard was driving a Chevy Suburban southbound on Saviers Road about 11 a.m. when he sideswiped a Plymouth Laser. The Suburban then struck two parked cars and a tree.
Taijeron was pronounced dead at St. John’s Regional Medical Center. A child passenger said Taijeron appeared to suffer a health crisis while driving, police said.
An autopsy is expected to be conducted today.
The driver of the Plymouth, 51-year-old Karen Decker of Oxnard, complained of shoulder pain, but was not hospitalized.
