Deal of the Week: Victorian B
The Richardson House Bed & Breakfast Inn in Truckee, Calif., 40 miles west of Reno in the Sierra Nevada, is offering a “Weather or Not?†deal for the May off-season. For stays Sunday through Thursday, your room rate is based on the high temperature for the day that you check in. If the high is 65 degrees, you pay $65 plus tax; highs last year in May were typically in the 60s or 70s, the inn says. Regular published rates are $100 to $175 per room per night, including breakfast. The deal is subject to availability and excludes holidays. The eight-room 1880s inn near Truckee’s historic downtown is rated three diamonds by AAA. Spring activities in the area include wildflower viewing, hiking, mountain biking and kayaking (with wetsuit). (888) 229-0365, www.richardsonhouse.com.
