Run to Raise Funds for Shakespeare Program

Participants in an upcoming Ventura footrace will celebrate Shakespeare’s 438th birthday as they raise funds for a Shakespeare program for students.
The 10K race, called BardWalk 2002, will take place Saturday and will benefit the Shakespeare in the Schools program.
Actors in Elizabethan garb will cheer on participants as they walk, run, bike or roller-blade a 6.2-mile course starting at San Buenaventura State Beach. For further information, call 667-2900 or visit www.bardwalk.com.
