A construction worker buried up to his chest when a trench collapsed in West Los Angeles early Saturday was “in good condition” after being rescued by emergency crews, authorities said.
The man was involved in the construction of houses in the 2900 block of Beverly Glen Boulevard near Mulholland Drive when the trench caved in on him about 8:30 a.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
The worker was freed about 90 minutes later and hospitalized, Wells said.
