Toring Water Polo Tournament Canceled

The Jim Toring Memorial boys’ water polo tournament, scheduled for today through Saturday at Harvard-Westlake and Long Beach Millikan highs, has been canceled in the wake of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

“We feel it’s the right thing to do,” said Harvard-Westlake Coach Rich Corso, the tournament director. “We looked for ways to do it next weekend, but there are other tournaments and league matches, and there was just no way.”
