Energy Self-Sufficiency

Re “Project to Boost Flow of Energy,” Oct. 19: Gov. Gray Davis and our California representatives should reject Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham’s corporate Path 15 project. California should take control of its own energy needs.
Upon taking office, President Bush and his bunch not only turned their backs to the world community but to the people of California during our own energy crisis. It’s business as usual with the Bush administration: big-business interests first, the people last. We Californians should build and maintain our own utilities, with the revenue generated going back to the state to benefit the people of this state.
