DNA Test Links Blood in Vehicle, Missing Woman
A DNA test has confirmed that blood in an abandoned vehicle found Aug. 27 is from the missing daughter of a former California senator, authorities said.
Jana Carpenter-Koklich was reported missing from her Lakewood home by her husband on Aug. 20, authorities said. Her vehicle was found, but sheriff’s investigators have not been able to locate the daughter of former Sen. Paul Carpenter (D-Cypress).
Detectives found a “significant amount of blood†in her car, Deputy Scott Butler said.
Anyone with information is asked to call sheriff’s homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.
