Driver Injured, Freeway Closed in Rig Accident
From Times Staff Writers
The driver of a tractor-trailer rig lost control of his vehicle on the Garden Grove Freeway on Saturday evening and struck a divider, injuring himself and forcing sections of the freeway to be closed for more than four hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident, which was still under investigation late Saturday, occurred shortly after 5 p.m. in the eastbound lanes, near the Beach Boulevard ramps. No other injuries were reported, a CHP representative said.
