20,000 Newly Found Ballots Arrive

Former Mayor Omar Bradley’s civil case alleging election fraud resumed Friday on the loading dock of the Los Angeles Superior Court building, where 27 boxes of previously missing ballots arrived in a deputy sheriff’s patrol car.
City officials said the boxes contained 20,000 ballots that were missing Thursday at the start of a court-ordered review of the contested June 5 municipal election. City officials said they had been mistakenly left behind in City Hall.
The ballot review will continue when court resumes Monday.
