Defending Division I champion Peninsula (21-1) is seeded No. 1 and will play Lakewood on Thursday in the first round of the Southern Section girls’ tennis playoffs.
Fullerton Troy (18-3) is top-seeded in Division II and will face the winner of today’s wild-card match between Rowland Heights Rowland and Fontana Kaiser.
Beverly Hills, the Division II champion last season, is top-seeded in Division III. The Normans (16-4) will play either El Monte or Torrance in the first round.
Top-seeded Corona del Mar will try to defend its Division IV title, beginning with a first-round match against Torrance Bishop Montgomery.
Laguna Beach, which opens against Fairmont, will try for its fourth consecutive championship as the top-seeded team in Division V.
