A Lemoore Navy officer killed in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon may be honored with a stretch of California 198 dedicated in his name.
The Lt. Cmdr. Otis Vincent Tolbert Highway would extend between 18th and 25th avenues in Lemoore, Kings County supervisors voted this week. The tribute needs approval from the Legislature.
Tolbert, 38, who played football at nearby Cal State Fresno, was killed Sept. 11 while working at the Defense Intelligence Agency when a hijacked jetliner crashed into the Pentagon.
