Xerox to Sell Its Landmark Tower
Xerox Corp. wants to sell the landmark 30-story tower where its North American sales operations are based. The black-granite building, a prominent feature of the Rochester, N.Y., skyline topped with a red X-shaped logo, could bring as much as $100 million, real estate agents say. It was built at a cost of $27 million in 1967, two years before the office equipment company moved its headquarters from Rochester to Stamford, Conn.
Battling steep financial losses, Xerox said a sale is needed to improve its cash flow.
