A teenager was in critical condition and a man was hospitalized after a shooting Thursday night outside a Carson shopping center, authorities said.
The victims, who were not identified, were shot outside the South Bay Pavilion about 8:40 p.m. after a confrontation, Sgt. Pierre Nadeau said.
Although the center was filled with people, there was little traffic outside on Leapwood Avenue, Nadeau said. The victims were reluctant to identify their attackers, he said.
The teenager was shot in the upper body and the adult was wounded in the arm, Nadeau said. The two, both from San Pedro, were taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Nadeau said.
