Pop Music
When Matthew and Gunnar Nelson played in January at the Coach House, they drew at least as many fans of their parents’ generation as theirs. What brought out the boomer crowd was the prospect of hearing the Nelson twins sing many of the hits that made their father, Rick Nelson, rock’s original teen idol. They’re bringing back the show that spans such Rick Nelson ‘50s-’70s classics as “Believe What You Say,” “Hello Mary Lou” and “Garden Party” along with their own hits--”(Can’t Live Without Your) Love and Affection,” “After the Rain”--from their stint as one of the early-’90s pop-metal bands, Nelson. This time, they’ll be at the Galaxy in Santa Ana.
* The Nelsons’ Garden Party, Galaxy Concert Theatre, 3503 S. Grand Ave., Santa Ana. 8 p.m. $29.50. (714) 957-0600.
