Female Artists Come on Strong
Don’t look now, but Madonna is flexing her muscles as a media synergist again. No sooner did the singer announce her September concerts at Staples Center than her new single, “What It Feels Like for a Girl,†shot to No. 1 on the Southern California sales chart. Female artists also made their mark on the album chart, accounting for all three debuts in the Top 10.
