Immigration Consultant Fined
A Ventura County immigration consultant has pleaded guilty and two others face arraignment on charges of failing to secure a $50,000 state-mandated bond required for their businesses, authorities said Wednesday.
Benjamin Aparicio, 52, owner of B.A. Income Tax Services in Santa Paula, was ordered last week to pay a $250 fine and placed on three years’ probation, said Ventura County Deputy Dist. Atty. Marc Leventhal.
Manuela Ornelas, 44, owner of M.A. Immigration and Interpreting in Oxnard, and Luis Tello, 71, owner of Tello’s Professional Services in Oxnard, are both scheduled to be arraigned next week, Leventhal said.
