Boys Taught to Earn
* “Female Lawyers Suffer Bias, Study Finds” (April 27) says male lawyers earn more than female lawyers but does not explain how males pick high-paying jobs because they are socialized to feel they have to earn more in order to be loved. I teach preschool, and I am concerned that boys in my class might grow up to work jobs they do not like because of this. By only talking about how males earn more and not how they are told to earn more, we are not being fair and will never solve the problem.
