The Cal State Northridge men’s volleyball team will try for its seventh consecutive victory Friday when the Matadors play host to UC San Diego in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match.
Northridge (10-12, 2-10 in conference play) has won six in a row for the first time since an eight-game streak in 1995.
Joe Nargi ranks seventh in kills in the MPSF, averaging 3.85. Eckhard Walter is 10th, averaging 3.6.
Northridge set a school record with nine consecutive victories in 1979.
