A native of Korea, pianist Nakyong Chai taught at Saddleback College for 21 years before retiring in 1998. Now an emeritus professor at the Mission Viejo institution of higher learning, Chai and a few of her faculty friends will play a Schubert program, including the “Trout” Quintet, the “Arpeggione” Sonata and the Violin Sonata in G minor. Her colleagues are violinist Donald Ambrosen, violist Hannah Skupen, cellist Bang-Eunn Lee and bass player Bobbette Cameron.

In his solo comedy, “MacHomer” (or “The Simpsons Do MacBeth”), Rick Miller performs Shakespeare’s tragedy in more than 60 voices from the animated TV series. Marge is Lady MacHomer, Homer Simpson is MacHomer, Mr. Burns is King Duncan, Krusty the Clown is the Porter, and Bart is Fleance.
