Quartz Hill 12, Palmdale 3--Dustin Petzold and Andy Locke hit home runs for the Rebels in a Golden League victory at Quartz Hill.
Quartz Hill (6-3, 3-0) took a 6-0 lead in the fourth inning on Petzold’s two-run homer, his second home run of the season.
Locke’s three-run home run gave the Rebels a 12-3 lead in the sixth.
Carlos Burkhart had three hits, including two doubles, for Quartz Hill.
Jeremy Garstka (1-0) gave up three hits in 4 1/3 innings in his first start of the season. He had three strikeouts and two walks.
