Comarco Posts Profit of $1.2 Million for Quarter

Comarco Inc., an Irvine wireless-technologies company, reported a fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $1.2 million, or 15 cents a share, which included a loss of $387,000 from discontinued operations. That was down 25% from the $1.6 million, or 23 cents a share, earned in the previous year’s final three months. Revenue for the quarter ended Jan. 31 rose 36% to $14.3 million.

Net income for the year totaled $4.5 million, or 61 cents a share, which included $1.3 million in severance costs. That was a gain of 41% from the $3.2 million, or 43 cents a share, recorded for the prior year. Revenue increased 26% to $49.5 million.
