Teen Hit by Van Is Critical
A Fullerton teenager struck by a van while riding his skateboard was in critical condition Friday at UCI Medical Center in Orange, authorities said.
The boy, 15, was hit while crossing at Orangethorpe Avenue and Pacific Drive in Fullerton about 8 p.m. Thursday, Fullerton Police Lt. Mike Maynard said.
The driver was westbound on Orangethorpe when his van struck the boy, who sustained major head trauma, police said.
The driver was not charged. The investigation continues, Maynard said.
