A Chinese woman is seeking a divorce, claiming the family’s talking bird dropped clues about her husband’s affair, state media said.
The woman from Chongqing said she uncovered the affair when her myna began saying “Divorce,” “I love you” and “Be patient” after it heard her husband’s phone calls with his mistress, the Xinmin Evening News said. The bird became particularly talkative when the phone rang, the report said.
Last week, the woman brought the bird to a lawyer for a consultation, hoping it could testify in court. But the attorney was not optimistic.
“The judges are unlikely to rule against your husband based only on the myna’s words,” lawyer Wu Di was quoted as telling her.
