Bill on U.N. War Crimes Court Sent to Parliament

A divided Yugoslav government adopted a draft law that could pave the way for handing over suspects to the U.N. war crimes tribunal, including former President Slobodan Milosevic. But the fate of the bill in parliament, expected to meet on the issue next week, remains uncertain.
Belgrade is under international pressure to step up cooperation with the tribunal, based in The Hague, ahead of a donors conference this month at which the impoverished nation hopes to raise more than $1 billion.
President Vojislav Kostunica expressed confidence that parliament will pass the bill.
