Philippine Independence Day Celebrations Set

Philippine independence day will be celebrated Saturday in Oxnard with food, music and a parade.
Fiesta Filipinas ‘01, marking 103 years of independence from Spain, will begin at 10 a.m. with a motorcade to Plaza Park, followed by a street festival and entertainment at 11:30 a.m.
On Friday, the Filipino flag will be flown over Oxnard City Hall, with a ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
