Jive Records to Distribute Albums for Nickelodeon
Jive Records, an independent label that releases music by such acts as ‘N Sync and Britney Spears, has entered a deal to promote and distribute albums for a new label being created by Viacom Inc.’s Nickelodeon cable channel.
The deal allows the cable channel to do what Jive and other record labels have done for years--promote youth-oriented acts on Nickelodeon programs.
The companies said the first album released under the agreement will be a soundtrack to a Nickelodeon film.
