Other California company earnings, excluding one-time gains and charges unless noted:

* Electronics retailer Good Guys Inc., based in San Francisco, reported net income of $5.8 million, or 25 cents a share, for the period ended Dec. 31. That compared with $5.6 million, or 22 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose 9% to $282.2 million.

* Los Angeles-based Sport Chalet, which operates a chain of sporting goods stores, reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $3 million, or 44 cents per share, compared with $2.1 million, or 30 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose 21% to $61 million. Same-store sales for the quarter rose 17%.

* Calabasas-based telecom equipment maker Tekelec reported fourth-quarter net income of $15.8 million, or 27 cents per share, compared with $12 million, or 20 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose 28% to a record $98.1 million.
