Surgery Sidelines Florida Forward Wright
Florida forward Brent Wright will miss three to six weeks after undergoing surgery on a stress fracture in his right foot.
Wright, who averages 15.9 points and 7.1 rebounds a game, had a screw put in the foot Thursday.
Wright is the only player in the Southeastern Conference to be ranked among the top 10 in scoring, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, rebounding and steals.
The Gators (10-1) open their SEC schedule Sunday at South Carolina.

Duke freshman guard Chris Duhon was fined $90 and ordered to do 10 hours of community service after being charged with underage possession of alcohol last October. Duhon will not miss any games or receive any team discipline, according to Duke sports information director Jon Jackson. Duhon averages 6.5 points and is second on the team in assists for the No. 3 Blue Devils. . . . Akron forward Andy Hipsher will miss the remainder of the season because of a back injury. The sophomore, son of Akron Coach Dan Hipsher, was leading the Zips in scoring, averaging 14.2 points through six games, when two bulging discs forced him out of action. He has applied for medical redshirt status that will allow him three more years of eligibility.
