GIRLS’ SOCCER PLAYOFFS
In the other Division II semifinal:
Ventura Buena 1, El Dorado 0--Stephanie Border scored in the 27th minute for second-seeded Buena (27-1-2), which advanced to play top-seeded Mission Viejo.
Tawnya Patino had 13 saves, including two on breakaways, for host El Dorado (17-9-3).
In Division III:
Santa Margarita 4, Temple City 0--Katie Frattone scored a goal in each half as top-seeded Santa Margarita (19-2-2) advanced to Saturday’s final against Glendora St. Lucy’s.
In Division IV:
North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake 2, Corona del Mar 1 (OT)--Host Harvard-Westlake stunned the top-seeded Sea Kings in sudden-death overtime.
Corona del Mar scored first on Molly O’Meara’s goal in the 18th minute.
But Harvard-Westlake (18-3-4) didn’t take long to respond, as the Wolverines streaked up the field and drew a free kick. Tracy Lansing deflected the ensuing shot into the goal to tie the score a minute after the Sea Kings’ goal.
That’s where it stood some 80 minutes later before Lansing redirected a corner kick into net five minutes into sudden death. Britta Vogele had 13 saves for Corona del Mar (26-2-3).
In Division V:
Pasadena Poly 2, Orange Lutheran 0--Molly Quinn scored in the first half and Molly Esterlin had a goal in the second half for second-seeded Pasadena Poly (23-5-3).
Third-seeded Orange Lutheran finished 20-5-4.
