CITY SECTION SOCCER PLAYOFF ROUNDUP
Chatsworth 6, Westchester 0--Jenna Fodor scored three goals for the second time this season, and Leila Pate added two goals in a City Championship quarterfinal at Chatsworth.
Fodor added three assists for the five-time defending champion Chancellors (13-5-1).
Granada Hills 3, Grant 1--Katie Deever and Leslie Goodman each scored and had an assist for the Highlanders (21-6-2) in a City Championship quarterfinal game at Grant.
Invitational games:
Poly 1, Canoga Park 0--Lizette Garcia scored in the 65th minute for the defending Invitational champions and No. 29-seeded Parrots (9-11-2) in a quarterfinal at Canoga Park.
Garfield 2, Verdugo Hills 0--Garfield scored an own goal in the 49th minute and the Dons never recovered in a quarterfinal at Verdugo Hills (11-5-3).
BOYS
Grant gets reprieve--Grant was reinstated when South Gate was disqualified from the playoffs for using an ineligible player.
South Gate, seeded 30th, upset the 14th-seeded Lancers on penalty kicks, 3-2, Wednesday.
The Rams, who knocked off No. 3 Palisades in the first round, had advanced to play University in a quarterfinal Friday.
Grant will play at University on Monday.
