Sam Wiesenthal; Produced Classic Movies

Sam Wiesenthal, 92, producer of motion picture classics such as “All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Dracula” and “Frankenstein.” Born in New York City, Wiesenthal worked in the offices of Universal Pictures in Manhattan while attending high school. Working with Carl Laemmle Jr., he generated the film that went on to win the Academy Award for best movie in 1930: “All Quiet on the Western Front.” On Feb. 11 at the Motion Picture & Television Hospital in Woodland Hills.
