From Times Wire Reports
Boston-area transit riders have been promised on-time service or their money back. Starting today, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority riders will receive a free round-trip voucher if their bus, train or trolley arrives more than 30 minutes late.
State transportation officials say it’s the first time a U.S. mass transit agency has given such a guarantee.
The MBTA also added more customer service phone lines and staff and a new cell phone number for up-to-the-minute information or to lodge a complaint.
