Civilians on Subs
* Regarding civilians aboard U.S. Navy submarines: It is a fact that the sailors who serve aboard our submarines go through months and years of rigorous and intense training to earn the privilege of becoming part of one of the most elite aspects of the U.S. Navy. These individuals are the best of the best the Navy has to offer.
In my opinion, allowing an everyday civilian aboard these powerful and strategically important vessels to go for a one-day joy ride is the greatest insult you could throw at these sailors, who have given up a part of their lives to help protect and defend this nation and all it stands for. If your desire is to seek out an adventure, go see your local recruiter. If this is not your calling, Disneyland should have what you are looking for.
