Greedy Daniels and Myron Anthony, two of Texas Christian’s top players, were dismissed from the team for an undisclosed violation of team rules, Coach Billy Tubbs announced.
Daniels, among the NCAA Division I leaders in steals, played a key role in the Horned Frogs’ 102-88 upset of No. 20 Fresno State on Thursday night. Anthony, the team’s second-leading rebounder, did not play in that game because of a sprained left ankle.
Anthony, a senior forward, is averaging 14.3 points and 7.4 rebounds.
Daniels holds the school’s season record for steals (108). He leads the teams in assists (144) and his scoring average (16.7) is second on the team.
