Got a 15-Minute Play Stashed in a Drawer?

The nonprofit FirstStage theater company’s 15th annual fund-raising “Playwrights Express--2001” is inviting submissions of 15-minute original plays through Tuesday. Winners will be given staged readings during the event’s festival marathon in Hollywood on March 31 and April 1, 7 and 8, from noon to 10 p.m. each day.

Copies or excerpts of original works should be mailed with a tax-deductible donation of $30 to FirstStage, P.O. Box 38280, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Entrants should include enough copies for each character and a director. Call (323) 850-6271 for more information.
