Bus Plummets From Overpass, Killing 2
From Times Wire Reports
A public bus fell about 50 feet from an overpass not far from Rome’s main airport, killing the driver and a passenger and injuring at least six others.
The bus was traveling from the town of Fiumicino, near Leonardo da Vinci airport, when it broke through the elevated road’s guardrail. The bus landed on its side near a hotel, news reports said.
The 35-year-old driver, who had started his job a few weeks ago, was killed, Regional Transportation Commissioner Francesco Aracri said. The other victim was from Senegal.
