More than $446,000 in federal grants is available to Ventura County nonprofit agencies that provide food and shelter for the needy.
Groups that wish to apply for the Emergency Food and Shelter program must have an accounting system and conduct an annual audit, not discriminate, show they can deliver emergency food and shelter, and, if private, have a volunteer board.
For information, groups can contact Cindi Love at 485-6288, Ext. 227.
Applications are available at the United Way office, 1317 Del Norte Road, Suite 100, Camarillo, 93010. Applications must be received by noon Jan. 4.
