French Official to Meet With Pakistan’s Leader

French Defense Minister Alain Richard will travel to Central Asia next week to meet Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and visit French troops in the region, the Defense Ministry said.
Richard will visit France’s Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea on New Year’s Day before traveling to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, to meet Musharraf on Wednesday.
